According to the ANTICSS impact assessment 110 to 487 GWh (realistic scenario) or 1,662GWh (extensive scenario) of primary energy savings could be lost per year due to acts of ‘circumvention’ or ‘borderline to circumvention’.
However, this reflects only a small proportion as not for all of the reported and tested cases a quantification of the impact on the resource consumption was possible.
Also, further acts of circumvention not yet detected by the project could occur. The activities and outcomes of the ANTICSS project are expected to trigger at least savings of about 30 GWh/year by avoiding primary energy losses due to circumvention acts. The achievements to this goal will be presented in the ANTICSS final report.
