Anticss
Anti-circumvention of standards for better market surveillance

Guidelines and recommendations

One main target of ANTICSS is capacity building for Market Surveillance Authorities, test laboratories and other relevant stakeholders, such as the EU bodies organising and preparing preparatory studies and drafting regulations including transitional measurement methods, as well as standardisation bodies, to better detect and ideally prevent future circumvention cases under EU Ecodesign and Energy label.

ANTICSS team works to ensure capacity building measures being implemented with regard to the outcomes and recommendations, and interaction with targeted stakeholder groups to ensure sustainability of the outcomes beyond the formal project duration.

Based on specific guidelines, tools and recommendations developed in ANTICSS, capacity building measures foresee expert workshops for the addressed target groups, webinars, as well as supporting communication and collaboration platforms.

By raising overall awareness of circumvention among stakeholders, ANTICSS is expected to support effective EU legislation enforcement and increase acceptance and trust of market actors, consumers and civil society specifically in the Ecodesign and Energy labelling legislation
